    no... the ones that make less than the minium to pay income tax but still get a tax rebate... but why does it cap out at $75k/$150k ???? because some work harder and longer hours... they don't deserve a tax break ???

    why don't you just look for a new place... if the landlord is about to brake a lease that's one thing, but otherwise why waste your time ? i know i have in my lease a statement that the place can be shown on a 24hr notice (for selling or renting out)

    don't think this is beeing hijacked... HOA fees and maintance costs are a big factor these days when purchasing a home, be it attached, detached or SFR... all these fees and costs will be taken in consideration when bought by someone (or at least should be) so while a attached condo might...

    what messages does this send... first, best off to not pay your mortage, the US will support you... now, don't pay your taxes (or don't make enough to pay taxes) and you will be rewarded, lazy, work half time... where is this going? i think i'll quit my job, sounds like i might be better off...

    if you talking 30 year fixed, the short-term interest rate reduction will not have to much influence on the long term interest rates... you should have locked your jumbo at 5.75.... that's a really good rate for a jumbo... and as mentioned, the risk factor is also higher at jumbos... sorry...

    ndiddy and blackacre... you do own the land it's just worded differently, you have a little more freedom when it's a SFR than a condo but either way you are quite restricted what you can do with your land by the master HOA... as for resale, the bigger sft should make up for the attached...

    just stop by there... i think they have some great floorplans, but you look out the window.... it's everyones own decision...if these units come down in price and you are short on cash it might work for you... but stop by there at 10 at night and take a walk and see if it will work for you
