But with a twist, it would be your only choice for dining out for a whole year....pick smart.

My choice would be Lazy Dog, variety of foods (got Italian, American, Asian flavors), kid friendly, decent beer, and decent service and price.  If I didn't have a kid, hands down would be Yardhouse.  What's yours?  Remember its for the whole year, a week of Korean BBQ will probably send you to the hospital.

Cheesecake Factory... I think they have the most diverse menu of chain restaurants.

I would say BJs but they only have a limited selection of desserts.

Just recently started eating at Yardhouse... the Mrs. never wanted to go... now she likes the place.

i would go with Lucilles or Red Robin. if my wife were given only those two choices she would go with lucilles.

Cheesecake has the variety but I think the alcohol selection is poor (beer wise).  BJs has one of my favorite beers but only the pizza is good, everything else is just so so.

Lucille's, really?  Food is too rich for me for 1 day, let alone the whole year.  I guess you can eat salads in between ribs.

i can eat Lucilles smokehouse bbq cheeseburger every day, not sure how long i would live though - i top it off with their "hot" bbq sauce.  BJs has a very good Jalapeno burger, i get it with extra fried jalapenos.

I would consider IHOP too because I love breakfast food... but if that were the case... I would probably pick a greasyspoon/diner like Ted's Burgers since they have both breakfast food and a variety of other food.

my wife loves denny's. Dennys is in our rotation.  they have some excellent nachos. and their pancake puppy sundaes are insane.

BJ's or Outback. We first visited Outback based on positive reviews here on TI. Now, whenever we go out, we want to go there. We always enjoy it. Our favorite used to be Claim Jumper but they have really gone downhill in the last couple years! Too bad. So sad.

If it was just me on my own, I might pick Rubio's. I seem to be the only one who loves Rubio's so it's rarely part of the plan.

I visited California Fish Grill for the first time over the weekend. I was really surprised by how good everything was. It's also an excellent value. From the outside, I thought it was going to be a sit-down restaurant. I was really surprised it's a casual seat yourself / serve yourself kind of place. That's okay. Maybe this place is old news to everyone else but I don't get out much. I think it's a new favorite. I'll definitely be going back.

We use to get take out from here alot.. but then the kid came and seafood and daughter don't mix well..  I usually get the roughy (high in mercury?) over rice with the cajun spices.  wife likes the butter sauce but too rich for me.  the fries were pretty good as well.. haven't been back for awhile.. when they first opened, it was unheard of to get grilled seafood dishes for less than $10... and pretty decent tasting as well.. thumbs up..
