<p>Guys,</p>

<p>Remember the discussion about the color forecast for 2008?</p>

<p>Well, I've been researching colors for my new website - so I thought I'd check out these new palettes.</p>

<p>Well, it was a heck-of-a-lot easier said than done!</p>

<p>From Pantone to Martha - they don't want them online.</p>

<p>I found these - together with the nuc-u-lar launch codes.</p>

<p>If you promise not to tell - I give you:</p>

Pantone's 2008 Color Predictions

<p>Looking for more inspiration? Here's a sample of palettes from Pantone. Notice your favorite greens, reds and whites below, then use the palette to complete the rest of your look and you'll be ready to bring in the New Year with style.</p>

<p><strong>High Profile:</strong>

<p>These sleek colors are a great, modern update on a more traditional color palette.</p>

<p><strong>Agrestic:</strong>

<img style="CLEAR: both; PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; MARGIN: 0px; PADDING-TOP: 0px" alt="" src="http://ctt-inc.collaboratenow.com/ps/inv/Site%20Images/ColorTrends_Agrestic_Aug07.jpg" /> </p>

<p>The colors of this palette reflect a more pastoral and gentle combination of greens, browns and yellows, with a little bit of pink.</p>

<p><strong>ReCollections:</strong>

<img style="CLEAR: both; PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; MARGIN: 0px; PADDING-TOP: 0px" alt="" src="http://ctt-inc.collaboratenow.com/ps/inv/Site%20Images/ColorTrends_Recollections_Aug07.jpg" /> </p>

<p>This palette combines a new-aged mix of past color schemes to give a new perspective on older looks.</p>

<p><strong>Chinoiserie:</strong>

<img style="CLEAR: both; PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; MARGIN: 0px; PADDING-TOP: 0px" alt="" src="http://ctt-inc.collaboratenow.com/ps/inv/Site%20Images/ColorTrends_Chinoiserie_Aug07.jpg" /> </p>

<p>Drawing inspiration from the east and objects such as porcelain and silk textiles, this color palette is reminiscent of an accent China.</p>

<p><strong>Ethnic chic:</strong>

<img style="CLEAR: both; PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; MARGIN: 0px; PADDING-TOP: 0px" alt="" src="http://ctt-inc.collaboratenow.com/ps/inv/Site%20Images/ColorTrends_EthnicChic_Aug07.jpg" /> </p>

<p>Enjoy classy combinations of color inspirations from around the world in this palette.</p>

<p><strong>Wellspring:</strong>

<img style="CLEAR: both; PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; MARGIN: 0px; PADDING-TOP: 0px" alt="" src="http://ctt-inc.collaboratenow.com/ps/inv/Site%20Images/ColorTrends_Wellspring_Aug07.jpg" /> </p>

<p>Think fountain of youth; cleansing and fresh are the inspiration behind the Wellspring color palette.</p>

<p><strong>Savories:</strong>

<img style="CLEAR: both; PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; MARGIN: 0px; PADDING-TOP: 0px" alt="" src="http://ctt-inc.collaboratenow.com/ps/inv/Site%20Images/ColorTrends_Savories_Aug07.jpg" /> </p>

<p>This palette draws upon the inner child and provides a fun and fanciful feel.</p>

<p><strong>Nuances:</strong>

<img style="CLEAR: both; PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; MARGIN: 0px; PADDING-TOP: 0px" alt="" src="http://ctt-inc.collaboratenow.com/ps/inv/Site%20Images/ColorTrends_Nuances_Aug07.jpg" /> </p>

<p>Look to this palette for the newest neutrals, inspired by the outdoors and perfect as background colors.</p>

<p>Didn't IR posted a picture of a house painted with the purple color just like the first color palette in Chinois spectrum. That home owner was ahead of trend. I am just posting a bunch of one liners so I can catch up to Awgee.</p>

<p>What I don't understand is: are all the colors within a palette supposed to complement each other?</p>

<p>Some seem to, others not so much.</p>

<p>It's staggering to think just how much money will be invested into these colors - from clothes to furnishings to, well, just about everything!</p>

<p>Pantone doesn't just predict - they dictate (makes them always right, doesn't it)! </p>

<p>P.S. I like Chinoiserie, Wellspring and Nuances.</p>
