Posting this here because it really infuriates me when people deface public property or think it's cool to show their friends how they can put potted plants in jacuzzi's or spray paint the sides of community pools.

I would think these guys live locally and since there are 4 of them, it shouldn't take long before someone recognizes one of them:

If anyone recognizes them, please call Woodbury Rec center or Irvine PD.

This is what happens when you mix low income housing with the rest of the community.  WB is worse because the low income apartments are spread out within the community.  SG at least keeps them all on one side.  CV kicks them out altogether.

How do you know the vandals are from the low income housing?  Unless you know definitively and have proof, then it could be renters from a homeowner or apt, or a homeowner's punk kid and his friends.  Or someone out of the community.

Well, if it's any consolation, it looks like they were unable to budge the pot so no harm done there. The time stamp shows them trying then giving up and walking away. Those suckers are really heavy.

What sort of access is there to the pool area? Is it just a lock and key? Or is it fob access? If it's fob, it seems like they should be able to narrow it down and check all the people who accessed the area between or around said hours.

I'm pretty sure they hopped the fence.  The key fob won't open the gates at this hour..

Kids will be kids. Let it go.

All it takes for evil people to succeed is for good people to do nothing.

Always easy for people to say not to bother with it until it's their house or their family.  If these kids caused thousands of dollars of damage to your property, you might not want to let it go.

I agree. I would be pissed if they did this in my HOA pool. I would want them found and made to pay for all damages/cleanup costs.

In addition, they should get a shaming punishment. Make them wear signs proclaiming their guilt and stand in front of the main entry points for WB.

Talk about the wrong identity. The sign should say  "I was a thief".

It's not your house or family. It's the HOA pool.

Why would you give a pass to them just cuz they're kids?  I don't understand your statement at all.  At what age is it not ok to vandalize property and "let it go"?

People pay HOA dues to use community amenities.  I hope the vandals are found and charged to the fullest extent of the law.  Maybe it will teach them a lesson.  Also, I hope the parents pay for all the damages and clean up.  Maybe it will teach the parents to pay more attention to their kid and instill some moral character.

Just be prepared to sift through a lot of dirt...sometimes TMI is simply TMI. :)

they need a good ass whooping is what they need. actually, they should throw them in jail, nothing like getting their virgin asses busted with no vaseline to teach them a lesson.
