I have seen my female boxer lift her hind legs so much in an attempt to pee as high up on a fence as possible that she has actually fallen over. Now, I know why. What this article didn't explain is why in the world she finds such a guilty pleasure in eating other animals' feces. Perhaps she finds it invasive of her territory? She is the most well behaved dog and listens to me on everything EXCEPT eating poop. It is soooo gross and I can't seem to get her to stop.

And it sounds like if we don't protect the plants enough it could lead to world war wolf woof.

Honestly, I can't remember... I just remember running outside to the backyard and yelling at him. But then he would just scarf down the poop quicker. (UGH UGH)

My gf at the time had a doggy door, so when ever he left, I just followed him and picked up his poop immediately so I wouldn't have to throw up in my mouth.

My ex-gf told my wife to tell me that his tail's going bald.

Do you watch It's Me or the Dog on Animal Planet? Victoria first considered the dog's nutrition and then had a couple of ideas including pineapple bits and/or placing flags, but this might not help much regarding other dogs' poop.

she only eats other animals' feces. It's the biggest reason we can't get a cat. She'll eat the poop and when she really sneaks some in she gets sick and off to the vet we go... $200 later and 2 weeks worth of antiobiotics.

I had a dog like that years ago but he would only eat cat poop, not other dog's poop. So disgusting, I'm really sorry that you reminded me of it.

It's always amazing to see the habits dogs pick up from their masters.

And it's funny how I'll be picturing your mouth every time I see a dog pinching a loaf.

Yea, sorry, I can't help it. My jaw still drops every time I see you mow down more dog droppings.

Yeah, I scold her for eating other dogs' and cats' poop, but if she starts eating the extreme right wing s*&% from Winex, well then we change her name to Sarah and put her up for adoption.

We had a friend whose dog did the same thing. The knew the dog had been sampling the "treats" in the litter box because he would show up with a muzzle full of litter! It only stopped when they removed the litter box after the cat passed away.

If not for the health concerns... animals that "pick up" after themselves sounds good to me. I do wonder... the volume that comes out of my pet seems more than what he puts in.

This is precisely why *cats rule*.
