Who will spend our $700 billion? Meet 35-year-old Neel Kashkari

His name is not exactly familiar and his official title is a bit much -- Interim Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Financial Stability and Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for International Economics and Development -- but 35-year-old Neel Kashkari is now one of the most powerful people in the global economy. As the head of the new Office of Financial Stability, it's his job to start spending the $700 billion Congress approved to stabilize the financial system.

Anyone ever hear of this young whippersnapper ? Thoughts? (Bix, since he's a fellow rocket scientist you should be good with the choice) ;)

And in his photo....doesn't he look like he's thinking...."Holy F*CK, what have I just gotten myself into?!"

Hillarious.

Another Goldman Puke.

Lets just take good care of Goldman now shall we.

We all know they will get every dollar the could ever want.

This whole thing stinks to high heaven. Its like watching a fixed horse race.

I sure hope Obama puts some kind of oversight on these clowns.

Otherwise a trillion dollars will go wherever it wants.

I'll give the kid a shot.

What the hell, he can't screw it up any worse than what they've done so far. And his MBA is more prestigous than mine.

Hey IR. you know what mortgage means right?

Dead-Plege!!

Thats a scary name. Maybe we should start calling it that again. instead of the fancy old french term.

Scare some sense in to people.

The term comes from the Old French "dead pledge," apparently meaning that the pledge ends (dies) either when the obligation is fulfilled or the property is taken through foreclosure.[1]
