Debating to sign up with Chase for the private client accounts/privileges.  Believe needs about $250k in new money to establish, much like USC's BofA mention.  So which (big) bank do you go with?

what privileges are you looking to use?  i had private client for a bit, but didn't find it to be anything special.  They're also pretty annoying with phone calls re: account reviews/advice.  I still think the best banking relationship I have is with Wells Fargo PMA ($25k or $30k account minimum) - am grandfathered into the 100 free trades.

Better rates?  Or not even worth it?  Currently I park in a 1.25% savings

That's not bad.  GS just opened a consumer bank and their promotional rate is only 1.05%.

GS Bank recently acquired GE Capital. The money market rate is 1.05%. This rate has been pretty steady over the years. If you think that the rates will rise in the years ahead 2017 - 2020, you may consider a CD laddering strategy.

UFB Bank offers 1.2% APYhttps://www.depositaccounts.com/savings/

I use Chase Private Client as well.. Park about $300k there so I can get a bigger safety deposit box  :P

My wife Well's has better offers as well, I'll check to see what they are.

This thread needs to be re-titled to "How big is your humblebrag?"

:)

I think that's the minimum or somewhere around there... Didn't mean to humble brag... #sorryimnotsorry

Homer,
I also bank with Chase. Is that big safety box with Chase worth $3150 a year that you would get from parking your money in a money market account with GS Bank?

It's really not but it wont be there for long  ;)  It's going to another venture very soon!  Back to my small deposit box again!

99%er time:

If you open a Chase Checking Premiere account with direct deposit, they give you $300.

Or you can just hang out at the basketball courts near Columbus Square for the qwerbucks.
