India Cook House is pretty good,

If you are willing to drive a bit and not worried about the price, Royal Khyber near South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa is much nicer with better food:

I second Royal Khyber. It's a bit pricey, but it's all very good.

I actually like Natraj's Tandoori (in Tustin Marketplace and Quail Hill). It's fast food, but I have paid a lot more for a lot worse...

Haveli in Tustin on Newport just off the 5 freeway is pretty good.

But the best Indian food, and I am now the third person to highly recommend it, is Royal Khyber. Their chicken tandoori naan is awesome, and their tandoori meats are some of the juiciest and best I have ever had. Usually tandoori chicken comes out a bit on the dry side, but not theirs. Washing it down with one of their mango-tinis makes for one heck of tasty meal.

We like Swaad in Westpark; they have the best garlic nam; and the buffet is good cuz you can try different dishes. The mango soup is the best...

For an inexpensive, down to earth, (and vegeterian only) Indian food experience, you might give India Sweets & Spices a try. It is an Indian grocery store and eatery located in Tustin, on the corner of Newport/McFadden:

Six dollar lunch buffet at Swaad on Alton near Culver, right hand side of Albertson's/stores strip.

The Naan was very good and plenty. Nice selection of food choices. Some dish selections were very spicy ( a plus!). Good service. Clean. Got very busy and had a waiting line after noon. Members of our party rated this a four or four and a half stars out of five. Delicious Indian.

Price is EXCELLENT in this economy. This deal is also on Saturday and Sunday.
