Hi all,

Long time lurker 2nd time posting. I'm curious as to what qualities and personalities exists in IHB that will soon be future home owners in Irvine. Also what age group you all fall under and occupation.

As the economy starts crumbling, energy prices soar, and (crosses fingers) the home prices continue to drop, I'm wondering what kind of buyer will remain to scoop up the good deals besides the Asians =D.

So without further adieu I'll go first...

I'm a married man of 25 with myself and the wife working in software making good money. Our jobs are in Irvine and are very stable so we should be alive and well during/after the apocalypse. We're planning on holding out till early next year to avoid giving TIC 20k that I'll never see again. Also we are mainly focusing on west Irvine and Tustin Ranch hoping for sub $300sq/ft prices.

I'm in a similar boat, although single. Just trying to find a decent place at a reasonable price. I'm surprised at how many young people are on here and looking to buy. The economy doesn't look too bad :)

I am a crusty angry old man, who hates homeowners. I am a professional foreclosure squatter paid by the banks to keep out the unprofessional squatters. My income has increased from the four figures it once was to the now five figures it is today. As you can tell by by my lowered amount of posting, that I am doing very well. I also have a day job of nail gun operator for the banks and cities that condemn foreclosed homes to board up windows. Again, business is really picking up. My goals in life are to become a professional blogger, or a professional RE investor, with the latter becoming more likely.

Why is it that this question keeps coming up? Has TIC fired their attorneys to try to find out who we are, because they failed, and hired their employees to try to figure out who we are? Or, are they really trying to figure out some new demographic research on potential home buyers? Did we throw them off with our relatively nice comments for Ipo's listing? Good luck TIC, and one day you can hire me for your research, I will not fail you like your current team. I don't drink Kool-Aid after all.

I love this question, as it brings out some creative juices as to what I do.

Me, too.

I also flip My Little Ponies for fun and profit.

As stated before, I'm an ex weapons designer who moved over to the commercial aerospace design. I design flight controls now, I have yet to have a successful flight of any of my products. They work well... going on way and then implode or explode.

At least i'm not like Airbus, which gives the COMPUTER the final say, not the pilot.... joy.

I also give free ballroom dance lessons on the side.

As for starting a vulture REIT, i'm looking at starting one soon (at least one of my own instead of participating in one from somebody else)

P.S. Caycifish gave us our wonderful [thanks!] button!

I'm forever 21 and I sell Kool-Aid for a living. I was quite successful in the past few years - enough so I can retire and blog all day long!

Indeed, I did. I told Zovall I would go back to working on stuff for IHB (like fixing the thanks bug that lets you thank twice) when I was done with a few personal projects. This is great for improving my PHP skills.

Cayci, I think that was fixed and we can only use the thanks button once.

P.S. Thanks for the thanks button.

Nope, not fixed. :-)

Too funny. The Thanks Button disapears for me when I use it once. I'm using the Blue Theme - does that matter?

Yeah, I coded in that functionality. I'm also not telling how to reproduce the bug, but it's something I over-looked and it has nothing to do with a particular theme. :-)

Great... we were thinking about giving away an IHB t-shirt for the person with the most thank yous for the week. Now that Skek is in the lead, I think we will can that idea until CF fixes that bug. Who in their right mind would ever thank Skek?

Thanks - now this is going to drive me crazy until I find the bug. Like I didn't have enough OCD problems to deal with today.

Jealous? You can't be serious. Just because you hate Justin Timberlake, because he rejected you, doesn't mean you need to be hater towards me.
