Since I put a lot of effort into my hobby of cooking for my man, I thought I'd start a thread where we can share our meal plans and do recipe swaps.

Tonight I'm making:

Taco Soup
Crescent rolls

That's what's for dinner.

Last night, I made a chicken primavera risotto. It was fabulous. I served it with pretzel rolls which I got from the freezer section and are so good.

Can you share the recipe for the chicken primavera risotto?  TIA!

I'm sorry. I didn't see this until now. I was busy with all of the Thanksgiving stuff! I just tried to Google the recipe to give you the link but no luck. I'll try to find time to type it up tomorrow.

- Filet mignon in my cast iron pan
- Potatoes Au Gratin (a box mix this time. I'm cheating tonight.)
- Cauliflower roasted in garlic, paprika, and olive oil.

That's what's for dinner.

I'm half-deaf right now. My smoke alarm went off. I guess I can't type and grill at the same time.

I'm baking Pecan Tassies for dessert. They are like tiny pecan pies - made in a mini muffin pan.

Wow, that sounds really good.  Poor me will probably grab some take-out (maybe something from Lazy Dog Cafe).  :(

too tired to cook, able to make it to Sagami happy hour, $1.88 Saporo drafts, $5 kids meal that my kid actually eats, and some good side dishes to wash the beer down with :)

Tonight I'm making:

Cabernet Braised Short Ribs... with Rice-a-Roni, oo-la-la.  ;)  The ribs have to simmer for 3 hours. This recipe had better be worth it.

Last night I made:

Jerk Chicken Nachos with salad. I'm the only person in the world to have never used Jerk seasoning (a Caribbean / Jamaican thing) so that was new for me. Everybody really liked it except for me.

I made Hasselback Potatoes another night. They are named after a restaurant in Stockholm, Sweden. I'm sure you've all had them. A.k.a. "accordion potatoes".

I try to make 1 "picky eater" meal every week so my kid doesn't starve to death. I'm making Little Smokies in this special sauce I make - with Macaroni & Cheese (yes, blue box kind) and peas. Whomp, Whomp.

This week I made fried shrimp, buttered rosemary rolls, and a green bean casserole like it was still Christmas or something.

I made Toasted Angel Hair pasta with sausage and peppers.

I baked a Black Russian Bundt Cake - it was Elvis's birthday, after all. Had to celebrate.  ;)

Tomorrow morning I'm making Apple Stuffed French Toast. I like "overnight" French toast recipes because you can do it all the night before and just stick it in the ice box to be baked the next morning.

I'm tired.

That's what's for dinner. How about you guys.

Apple stuffed French Toast sounds delish :-)

I polished off last of the See's candies boxes, and made a resolution to eat healthy, and then remembered there's half a Panettone left. But that's for tomorrow when I have sugar withdrawal. Here is what I made today:

1/4 cup White Basmati Rice
1/4 cup Sprouted Mung
2 tbsp Virginia Peanuts

Made a good seasoning with spices, and onions and green chillies and curry leaves and what not, and squeezed a lemon, sprinkled some salt, it's ready to eat. Don't ask me how it tastes, but if I don't want to burst out of my jeans, this will be dinner.. probably even worse.. I will make it with brown rice :P

Enjoy your dinner. BTW kids are eating this too, with a dollop of Fage yogurt on the side, and they will compliment me on my great cooking skills. I guess to everyone their mother is the best cook(er) in the whole wide world, no matter what she makes..

Sorry, forgot we have to wear sandals with stockings :P
Check out leather boots at Costco BTW. I bought a pair last month, a day after boxes and boxes of boots came home via UPS and splained it ;)

I made some nut/date/protein bars last week. They turned out good. Not to so much as they do with approved/permitted colors and flavors, but still good.

What are these "shoe" things you speak of? I may have seen them once before. Back to the kitchen...
