These homes and neighborhoods remind me of oil and water.

I sorta like both of them, the second one has been posted before.

But, the locals are saying they don't harmonize with their neighborhoods.

Both of these are over-built homes in older neighborhoods. They stand out like a sore thumb. I am guessing that the homes around them cost between 33% to 50% less.

Thanks Graphix (Hyperlink)...

I like both of them as well. The one on Angell needs a new garage door. I visited the first property, it was very awkward, the house was so grand but the lack of a front yard made it seem off balance. Also the driveway was about three feet long.

But I don't understand why a person would "Grandstand" the neighborhood like that. Unless they were smoking something where they envisioned their neighbors would follow suit.

As the Korean's would say, "Cray-Jee".

That second property has been on the market for 9 days according to the listing. However, we discussed this property months ago. Hmmmm

It should be considered fraudulent when the same listing agent relists the property for the specific reason of lowering the days on market number. I can see when a seller switched agents because the first agent perhaps wasn't marketing the property effectively and I don't know if that is the case on this particular property, but if the same agent relists just to make the listing look 'fresher', then that is just unacceptable.

A potential buyer should be made aware of all factors concerning a property and that is one of the considerations that should be presented to a potential buyer as a disclosure just like other concerns such as if a death occurred at the property. A long DOM number may raise a red flag as to why the property hasn't moved in say a year or so and give the buyer more reason to conduct further due diligence.
