Wall by the freeway...

Today I was getting off the 405 at Irvine Center, and I saw that they are building this huge wall right next to the freeway. I presume it's going to be a sound barrier for the new apartments they are building there. It's too bad. I've always liked being able to see the hills and open space when getting off the freeway there. Now it's just an ugly wall...soon to be an ugly wall with a zillion apartments behind it. Ugh.

Same thing is going on off the 5 between Jeffery and Sand Canyon....apartments of Cypress Village going up.

I know, yuck. My son however enjoys seeing the construction trucks working when we drive by the construction site. It has inspired him: he wants to be a construction worker when he grows up! He has informed me that he is going to drive a dump truck someday, and he wants me to buy him a hard hat when he grows up.

Talk about over building and over crowding Irvine.  Probably going to stay another year in Irvine and then move to Newport.  I wonder if Socal78 can help me start a Talk Newport forum.

When we go to Pretend City I like to spend as much time as possible in the Doctors Office
Let's avoid the Library, Post Office, Restaurant and Grocery clerk areas

Doctor is hard work... If ur the CEO of said restaurant group, grocery chain, UPS, or cushy govt super pension plan head librarian, might not be too bad.  Or maybe a dermatologist...  Tell your kid to think big to make big.

I say go God crazy like JLin did, bypass UCLA and use Harvard as backup and score 38 on the Lakers.. is that easier or the CEO route?
