Use of Amenities Poll

I want to take a poll to see who uses the various amenities around their village, community and neighborhood. The breakdown is between renters and owners. IAC has done a great job at perpetuating the ?OC Pathology?; of making you feel ?wealthy? while renting. I believe it is their goal to keep us renting forever. We have rented from various private Irvine condos and IAC communities; I have generally observed that renters take more advantage of amenities than owners do. I have some theories as to why, but I wanted to confirm this hypothesis first.



I rent, and I live in the Club House. I use the communal stove to cook/microwave most of my meals; I host various get-togethers by the BBQ; I sleep and lounge by the pool more than my own couch; I give the evil eye to whoever is using ?my? treadmill; I have a permanent file folder on the computer at the business center and I use the pool showers more than my own.

I must admit, the polls are pretty close. It does confirm some observations, but the owners came out a lot higher than I thought. One possible explanation could be that renters simply have more amenities.

My friends that were renting had nicer amenities than the people who owned.

So we used to go to their place a lot.

The amenities at IAC Orchard Hills are similar to amenities at housing developments with $2 million dollar homes.

wow, the polls sure look different today... Now the renters almost double the owners; I love IAC Orchard Hills, we were hanging out there when they just finished the club house, pool and the outside patio area by the fireplace, nice gym also. I know renters have it really good; the newer developments in Stonegate and Woodbury East have all the amenities to themselves. Get a few friends together, after work, bring some beer over, grill up some bbq; you won't see another soul!
