Upgrading from "california room" to optinal "conservatory room"

When I asked the sales person, he mentioned that it is somewhere from 10-15k for the optional loft. However, I would like to know if anyone has actually purchased this optional loft or the optional conservatory room. If so, what was the actual final price of the upgrade.
 
Well, I am basing this question on Mulberry-Cypress Village. But it is meant to be a general question.
 
if priced between $10-15k, it would be a no brainer to me.. get the conservatory.. so what if you lose yard space.... you're just making the unusable yard more unusable.. adding 200 -300 sq ft of space for $15k is cheap. 

$15k/200 sq ft = $75/sq ft..

and for the loft.. I would opt for it.. it is a more flexible option..

Agreed.

But I don't think the Conservatory is even that much... last I heard for the other TIC communities... it was only $5-7k. The loft is more because there is more involved.

The only time I wouldn't add a loft is if it DESTROYS high ceilings.. that is blasphemy.. i hate it when owners add on a loft under their vaulted ceilings.. the horror

but this  wouldn't apply to new constructions.. so get the loft
 
Since I was told it cost $15-$20k I assume the actual cost depends on how much cash you have, which is why they make you prequalify, so they know how much they can milk you for.
 
In Mulberry, price are a little different depend on the plan.  For Mulberry plan 2, optional conservatory by itself is $8500, optional conservatory plus California room is $13,500.  And FYI, optional office at California garage is $9000.  Optional gyn/playhouse/tween room at California garage is $8000.  Conservatory add about 140 sq/ft and office at California garage add about 110 sq/ft. to the house.

Price of conservatory option for Mulberry pane 1 should be very similar, but for plan 3 it could be more.

Compare to Mendocino, the conservatory option at Mendocino is about $16000.

I don't have the price for optional loft at Mulberry plan 1.

Btw, why does conservatory option at mendocino so much more expensive? I added that option.

At Mulberry, the California room is standard.  the optional conservatory just convert the existing California room into a conservatory.

At Mendocino, California room is a $13000 option if I remember correctly.  Both California room and conservatory option requires building additional structure to the existing home.

The price of conservatory option at Mendocino, although higher then the Mulberry, it is very reasonable.  Compare to the Field residence at Lambert Ranch, the Field plan 1's conservator option is over $32,000.
