UCI 5th best young college in the world

The Times Higher Education ranks colleges under 50 years old around the world and UCI came in 5th (dropped from 4th last year). The number one college? Pohang University of Science and Technology in Korea.

US News is the #1 college reputable ranking - enough said.....

There is the banner hung over the JWA escalator down to baggage claim area that proudly announced UCI is rated #5 in the world. The credit listed his source that I have never heard of. Seriously UCI is behind 4 other universities I have never heard of and this list composed mostly colleges in some 3rd world countries. The new Forbes list is a much reliable source.

Only the desperate schools need to advertise on billboard, TV and radios like University of Phoenix.

Fyi - There are many reputable schools that advertise on television, advertise in magazines, etc...

In no shape or form I and defending Univ of Phoenix. Plus the topic is not about univ of Phoenix.

I think you should educate yourself, how universities advertise.

Pomona is #2 in the country and I haven't seen this school advertise anywhere. The schools that need to brag are the safety schools.

Universities with national sport coverage the TV networks require them to include a video clip to air during the games. This is why you would find schools with strong sport program often have these video clips. These schools did not pay to advertise on TV. I am referring to schools having to pay for air time, magazine ads, billboards and airport banners.
