I added up the sq footage total on the contract and the sum exceeded the actual square footage of the house (~9% more). Does that make sense considering they shouldn't charge me footage for kitchen island, kitchen countertop areas, tubs... that makes the difference even bigger.

I am trying to reach them to but want to know if anyone else sees this on their flooring contracts. Thank you.
 
I did consider that but I just figured for the price per square footage they are charging me, that should've been accounted for in the premium. Of course it appears I was overly optimistic and naive  :-\
