I just wanted to publicly thank USCTrojanCPA for helping me with my close.  He is definitely a man of his words.  I highly recommend him to anyone looking to make a purchase.

Too bad my purchase experience did not go so smoothly.  Huge thumbs down to BofA!

Thanks for the kind words NASCAR24.  I'm glad that BofA found a way to get out of their own way and close your loan, albeit a few days late.  Have you settled into your new place yet?

Just kinda curious what happened (without too many specifics of course) with BofA....I am stuck using them as a lender and plan on closing in March...What rates are they pushing right now for 30 year fixed? I plan on doing a 90 day lock in December.

You have pm.

Basically to make a long story short, I had a very incompetent underwriter who mishandled a job perk as a liability.  This underwriter failed to read any of the documentation sent to her supporting the perk.  Finally, the loan was taken out of her hands and transferred to a senior underwriter.  As a result, I missed my original close date.

They have to shore up their profits somewhere, and it looks like the gen-pop ain't going to accept a $5 debit card fee...

From what I have seen with BofA, they are very hit or miss.  It all comes down to the loan officer and more importantly the underwriter that gets assigned to the loan.  Some of my clients have had very smooth loan closings with BofA while with others it was painful like getting teeth pulled.

Bump for USCTrojanCPA for helping me sell this place I purchased two + years ago.  I will post my positive experience with USC later in a new thread.
