Gang, I have a friend and his fiancee who are looking for a rental in the 1800-2000/mo range. I know that you guys tend to be "plugged-in" to the rental market so maybe you can help. The location needs to be within ~15 minutes of SNA, school district does not matter, two car garage mandatory. Both are 700+ FICO, have cash reserves, stable employment, debt under control, perfect rental history, etc etc. Any leads?

i'm really eager to hear the responses on this one.

they could try that 1800 that momopi brought up. or maybe momopi has a property to rent?

and as expensive as woodbury place is, they could do the plan one for 2000 with two car attached garage.

Can anyone recommend a 2 bedroom rental community in Irvine that has an attached garage...I'm assuming that means it needs to be a townhouse set up?

Thanks!

edyang, try Woodbury Place. Otherwise, most of private rentals have what you are looking for. Find a realtor and he/she will help you.

edyang --- If you are ok with Westpark, you might also look into Santa Rosa and Santa Maria, both have attached garage floorplans. If I recall correctly, Santa Rosa is all townhomes, but I think Santa Maria has some one level floorplans with a 2 car attached garage.

Woodbury is nice there are a few places around the Tustin Market place and quite a few places around Jamboree and the 405. Just look around there are also a few of us who might be able to split the "new renter" bonus. Anyways good luck

Unfortunately the $1800/mo unit @ Oak Park (Oak Creek) listed under toddm.com is 1 bedroom... but all units at this complex have 2 car garages, a few with drive-ways. If you'd like to go have a look, it's by Alton & Jeffery, with 5 FWY and 405 FWY nearby. Go to the Gelsons market center and look for the residental area entrace gate off to the side. Drive in and you're on Hawk Creek, Oak Park complex is on the immediate right. I seem to recall seeing a couple of "for rent" signs last week on Crescent Oak and Orangewood. There are 1 bed, 1 bed + loft, 2 bed, and 2 bed + loft (or 3rd bed option) units in the complex.

There's quite a few Irvine rental ads on craiglist, you might want to go have a look. Actually, a large part of Irvine is within 15-20 min drive to SNA so you can be fairly flexible with the location. If you're willing to go a bit further away, I think the border area with Tustin might be slightly cheaper. Drive up Jamboree toward Tustin Marketplace, go pass it, pass Portola, hang a right on... um.. Hillsdale, right on Belleuve, right on Bradfor, and left on Ardmore. The townhome units are 2 or 3 bed with 2 car garage + direct access. These are privately owned and as of 2006, rent on 2 bed units were $2000'ish and 3 bed/3 bath units for $2400'ish. Not sure about today. I love the big swimming pool over there but all my friends moved out and turned their units into rentals. :(
