I didn't realize until I saw some of the new maps from the city for the new builds in Stonegate that the northwest side of the village will be dedicated to continuing the Jeffrey Open Space Trail, which makes up the same area of Woodbury.

I think that's really great. I really loved being able to walk there when I lived in Woodbury, and I look forward to being able to walk there when I live in Stonegate next year (if all goes according to plan).

One thing that I'm wondering about is 1) what will be done with the adjacent land on the opposite side of Jeffrey, and 2) what will be done with the tunnel that connects both sides?

Despite having traveled that road for years, I, like most people, was unaware that there's a large tunnel underneath Jeffrey until a few months ago. The tunnel was ostensibly used by the botanical farmers who used to occupy the land to drive trucks from one side of their farm to the other without having to cross on top of Jeffrey.

I can't imagine they'd fill the tunnel in or anything, especially with the Jeffrey Open Space Trail, but will it connect to more open space on the other side of the street or will it be all neighborhoods there?

Just curious.
