Visited this place for the first time today.  Been craving for Hawaiian shaved ice since our recent visit.  This place hits the spot.  I believe IHO first mentioned in the lactard thread.  After trying it, glad we have a pretty authentic place with lilikoi flavor syrup.  Wish they had ginger flavor.  And they need later hours, every time we wanted it, it was closed.  Able to enjoy it today after the concert in the lake.

Yeah... that's my issue with them, I think they close at 7 or 7:30.

I think that place has been there for at least 10-15 years.

So you went to Soul Stone yesterday? We were there. Not as good as when it's at Mike Ward Park, the sound and stage were subpar.

It has been their a long time, since the days of the Edwards theatre but at that point it went by the name Catarina's. I presume somewhere along the line ownership changed.

Didn't stay long for the concert, got there late and I guess they let some lady on stage and she kinda killed the mood. :)

Haven't been to Woodbridge center for awhile,  a nice late 80's throwback experience.  Cheap theater, bookstore, shaved ice, kumon, I like the place, hope they won't tear it down.  Looked into the art class lessons near Barnes/Noble.  We might get a groupon for it.  Anyone tried the car wash there?  Perfect combo with the 1.5 hour art class.

I used to get my car wash there, they changed ownership so not sure how good they are now.

The art class was expensive when we sent our kids there... I'm assuming it's not cheaper now.

We also did singing lessons at the Yamaha music school, the teacher, Mr. Ron, was very good.

So do you get Shave Ice with ice cream? Never did that until I went to Hawaii (Matsumoto's!!!) and now Shave Ice doesn't seem the same without it.

Able to get the groupon down to around $40 for 4 classes at that location.  Should've bought some more as gifts, it was a rare event that groupon let me stack two coupons and it worked (groupon normally it's $65, still a good deal, the coupon from the shopirvine site was $89).  So $10 for 1.5 hours of babysitting :)

Thanks for the tip on Yamaha, gonna look into that next (I'm gonna try to save the center)

As for the shaved ice, we always get the ice cream in the middle and the snow cap.  I never was a fan of Hawaiian shaved ice until recently as it seemed kinda boring with the sugar water and artificial flavors, but after our Hawaii trip (didn't go to matsumotos but did frequent Ono Ono on Kauai in Kapaa) developed a taste for the simple sugary tastes.
