Spread Eagle Tavern

This is a pre-civil war era house converted into a restaurant and bed & breakfast. It's on the old "underground railroad" route where homes have underground passageways and hidden rooms. The house across the street was known to have a bedroom only accessible from outside via ladder, from the inside all you see is a brick wall where the room is. I had the smoked lamb and it was pretty good, though I thought it was cooked a bit over medium rare. The chicken was a variation of chicken cor don bleu and it was absolutely delicious! The crab cake? Not so good. =/
I took about 50 photos and posted them to picasaweb in 1024x768:https://picasaweb.google.com/momopi/SpreadEagleTavernInHanovertonOhio#
