San Fran in housing correction

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I've a feeling we might see some mild correction in Irvine housing soon too.

With existing home inventory building up, plenty of ongoing new constructions in both Irvine and surrounding cities and several more villages coming online, that's a lot of home need to be sold.

Do we have enough buyer's pool to absorb all these homes?

None of the data in the article support the headline

The median price of a San Francisco home sold in September was $1.189 million, an 11.6 percent increase from a year ago. That is about five times the national median home price. Single-family homes in the most popular neighborhoods are still selling quickly at above asking price

Data? We don't wanna evaluate and reach conclusions based on data! We want anecdotes and hyperbole! It's much funner to have an extreme conclusion, one way or the other, based on your observations and feelings.

It's a short sale but they've been trying to sell since Feb 2014.  So it might have been regular sale which didn't fetch...

Actually I think I'm seeing higher listing prices in Irvine now while homes are not selling like they used to...

Yeah, many sellers think it's still 2013/early 2014...the market will teach them and their agents a lesson in due time.  Properties that are priced right sell fast in Irvine (there are still a lot of buyers out there, they are just more patient and picky now).
