Obsessed with this house, has everything I am looking for (single story, ocean view, open concept, move in ready, craftsman styling, decent size yard), just not in love with the price tag.  Looks like someone bought it in 2013, gutted it and gave it a complete makeover to align with the newer "great room" concept.  My guess is it will sell around $1M.  Does anyone know the surrounding area, as I am new to this area.  Thanks for any input!

I love the beachy theme of the home but wow, $1.5 for 2k sqft in San Clemente is expensive! Are you thinking of moving out there? Heard Talega was a nice area with good schools.

Agree that its overpriced.

Pico is very difficult in the AM as it's a choke point for freeway access. San Clemente High is nearby and you might find some light pollution whenever there is a home game. At $1.5m it's reasonably valued, but you can get a bit closer to the ocean, although not as updated, in other areas. Capo Beach has a few properties at a better price point, some with views, some without:

Although at a similar $1.5m entry price, and if my lottery cash came through, I'd probably look here:

Nice upgrades, I'll end up doing some of the same things in my home.  San Clemente is just too far south for me.  If I'm going to spend $1.5m+ for a single story home, I'll buy in Newport in the Port streets.

We will only move if it's a view home. The commute is a potential deal breaker though.
