I didn't think the leaks were true but when Sammy decided to ditch the plastics to look more "premium", the new S6 looked very... uh... iPhony:

Most of the critics agree that it's the nicest Galaxy ever (the S6 Edge is even nicer with the curved glass and dual side displays) but at the cost of no removable battery, no SD card and no longer waterproof (3 features which I thought made the S5 superior to the iPhone).
Galaxy S6 Edge:
I don't think the "premium" design was worth losing the above mentioned features (which also set Sammy phones apart from even other Android phones) but I guess they think it is. This also means they have to create 3 different price levels for the 32/64/128gb models which will just make the consumer more irritated because Sammy is no Apple.
They should have just stuck with the plastics... to me it makes it more durable, lighter and flexible (and allows for removable battery and SD card... although you could probably at least do the SD card with a metal/glass design). I think this really hurts Sammy in the secondary market. In some of the reviews, the thought process is that their phones will be worth more used but I don't agree. Sammy doesn't have the fan base that Apple has and I actually think the inability to replace the battery and increase the memory will make them worth less. At least with the previous S phones, after 2 years you can make it brand "newish" by replacing the battery... and as memory costs went down, you can give it more memory... not any more.
At least they've taken a lighter approach with skinning Android 5.0 with Touchwiz but I honestly don't think this is going to increase sales like Sammy thinks it will.
Hopefully they don't adopt this design cue for the Note series... but they usually do which will be a very bad move.
