Police in Irvine were searching for the male driver of a black Ford Mustang who fled the scene on foot following a fatal three-car crash in Irvine on Wednesday night.

The collision, which also involved a Chevy Cruze and Honda Civic, occurred around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Muirlands Boulevard and Alton Parkway, according to a news release from the Irvine Police Department.

The driver of the Chevy, identified only as a 54-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

A second adult woman and two young children who were also inside the Chevy at the time of the crash were injured in the collision. The children ? ages 6 and 3 ? were in full cardiac arrest when they were extricated, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

I hope they catch the guy.

That's horrible!  I hope they catch him soon.

There were many police officers blocking Technology, Alton, Barranca this morning causing massive traffic jam as everyone had to make a U-turn.  I was wondering what was going on but didn't see anything.

... meanwhile, a traumatized female Asian driver kept the police line busy for 20 minutes while demanding them to capture the person who allegedly dinged her 2016 ML650 on purpose with a shopping cart then fled the scene in a black Ford Mustang ...

isn't usctrojancpa driving a little "you-know-what" last week?  however, he was driving a honda civic.

anyway, i hope they can catch the guy too.  cant the police just use license plate and find the guy and address?

isn't running away more serious than drunkNdrive?  license plate will lead to address which should leads to suspect.
