I was trying to keep this a secret until I tried it to see if it actually worked and it did!

I got $75 worth of gift certificates to Fuji-Kan on Culver (heritage plaza) for... just $6!!!

It was a valentines special where if you punch in the code: HEART, it took an additional 80% off, you can already get $25 gift certificates for $10.

Here are the catches, there is a whole list of them... like it is only available Sun-Thurs, dine-in only, no take out; 15% automatic gratuity, like a $50 minimum...

has anyone else tried it? Here is a link of all surrounding participating Irvine restaurants...

yeah it works, just don't plan on impressing your date (perfect if you're married already). most restaurants that participate in this are not that impressive or are struggling. it is a cash loss for the restaurants as they do not get anything from restaurant.com. the japanese restaurant on portola near pavillions also takes these I believe, I thought they were pretty good. alot of restrictions and hassle but definetly savings if they have a restaurant you already frequent.5

Yes, I've used them in the past. You do have to read the fine print on the restrictions. Also use the gift certs or else they might expire or the restaurant may stop accepting them. Also, a bunch of them say that you can only use one gift cert with a minimum of two people.
