Hi Momopi,
I used to attend El Camino Real elementary way back when, and several of my childhood friends grew up there, so I'm familiar with it. It is one of the older villages in Irvine, and its been around since the mid-late 70s, I believe. There are still some originals that live in the neighborhood, as far as I know.
The homes there are smaller compared to newer Irvine developments, but its still overall a well kept area. A lot of ranch-style homes there, yet there are some homes that definitely show their age.
El Camino elementary was moved to Woodbury this year, and I've heard rumors that the old school site will be for IUSD administration. So, hopefully no shopping center or apts will be going in there.
Well, hope that little bit of information helps...!
