Have you ever taken flights at the airport and watched all the first-pass passengers go into the "Diamond Club Lounge" and thought, crap, you're flying economy and you're never going to accumulate enough mileage to get in?

If you're departing from LAX, go upstairs where the dining area is, and go straight to the back. A new "reLAX Lounge" awaits you with the comfy chairs, free drinks, ice cream, snacks, computers, wi-fi, cookies, etc. for a mere $10/hr or $25 for 3 hours.

It's probably not the same as the first class lounge over at China Airlines, but hey, it's $10. And the nice Korean ladies brought me orange juice. Lots of papers and magazines too.

I'm now laying back in a nice comfy chair with my feet on the foot rest, sipping my free drinks, wondering which flavor of ice cream to get, typing away and feeling sorry for all the people who are being sucked in over at the politics thread. Life is good~

momo,

where are you heading to?

He brought a broom and dust pan. As soon he gets off the flight he will sweep up some cash on the streets of Asia and put them in sacks and bring cash back to America to buy 2 IVY houses at a total price of $888k. (2 x 444K)

With all the remodel going on in the arrivals section of the international terminal, I like the idea of going upstairs and relax.

I was there this past weekend there is no place where to seat while you wait, inside there are like 18 chairs total, some of them outside collecting dust and car fumes, security people asking you to move around (to where? there's no room), while I was waiting there I was very uncomfortable, people arriving for the 1st time to USA from abroad would say, wow...this place is a pit, and that's being nice.

It's been like that for at least 6 months.

>_< I flew into Taiwan in the middle of a typhoon.

On the plus side, Starbucks in Taiwan just started selling canele.

For TW visitors, if you need Internet access with your laptop, you can buy a WIFLY access card for 100 NT ($3 USD) 24 hr access, or 500 NT ($15) for 30 day access. The WIFLY account will let you go online at Starbucks, McDonalds, MOS Burger, 7-11, MRT stations, etc. allover the city. HOWEVER, to activate the card you'll need a cell phone. The account registration process will send an activation ID to your cell phone.

If you need a prepaid cell phone in TW, you have to bring multiple forms of ID and photocopies for the store. It might be easier to just ask someone locally to help you.
