So i picked up a large two topping pan on the way home - very good pizza. very flavorful.  the pizza is very dense. after 2.5 slices i was done.  would highly recommend. next time im going to get the stuffed pizza. i called at 6pm to place the order. they told me 60 minutes minutes. i got there at 6:45 and as i was entering they were putting my pizza into the box on the counter, so it was 45 minutes.

stuffed pizza - A thin layer of our house?made dough is put into a two inch deep?dish pan. We then fill the pie with the highest quality cheeses and your choice of ingredients. Then a paper thin layer of dough is gently placed over the cheese and ingredients to seal and lock in all the flavors. The pie is covered with our secret tomato sauce and baked in our oven until the crust becomes flaky and golden brown. (Please allow 40?45 minutes for dine?in and at least 1 hour for delivery)

Pan pizza - To create this dish we use a seasoned deep dish pan and cover it with a slightly thicker, richer dough recipe. Next we add your choice of ingredients and cover them with a generous amount of Wisconsin mozzarella. Our zesty tomato sauce lightly covers the cheese along with a gentle sprinkle of Pecorino Romano. Finally we bake the pizza in our oven until the crust reaches its signature golden perfection. (Please allow 40?45 minutes for dine?in and at least 1 hour for delivery)

Deliver to Irvine?

they do deliver, not sure if they deliver to irvine. if you are going the delivery route - they quoted some person on the phone 1.5 hours for delivery. i guess it makes sense since the pizza takes 45 minutes to cook.

It was only okay for us.

Maybe it was the kind of pizza we got (we got pan)... it didn't have enough sauce (or tomatoes) and the middle dough was still a bit soft. I'm not sure if it was the dough or the cheese but it was too salty for us.

Haven't found anything comparable to Lou Malnati's yet.
