I'm so glad you posted this. I wanted to start a thread on digital camera recommendations. I think it is about time I retire my old school canon and go digital. Please let me know how you like it.

I'm looking forward to moving into the digital age.

We also just bought out first DSLR camera. Similar to Grace we went for Canon (recommended). We have the canon rebel t1i 15.5MP. We chose this one rather than the 12.1MP one because it has HD video. Still getting used to the camera so currently everything is on automatic and using it more as an expensive point and click. As we experiment I am sure we will use the additional features.

The reason we wanted an SLR is so that we can take rapid action photos of our kids and to be able to zoom in from a greater distance.

I just got one of these puppies as well (the T1i) !!! Tons of pictures of the dog as I'm getting used to it. Now I'm just hunting for a fast lens for some nice low light shots.

Expound please.</blockquote>

I'm not really ready to talk about it yet, but I'll give you a peek.

My dad grew Roma tomatos this year. He has a contract for $80 a ton. The store price? $1.19 a pound - or $2,380 a ton. I'm gonna try to capture the $2300 by cutting the whole rest of the channel out. The margins aren't nearly so good on almonds, pistachios, or walnuts but you get the general idea.
