Pie Not - Costa Mesa

Just had this for lunch, its called the Dogs Eye. Australian meat pie. This one is ground beef and diced onion.  Its pretty good and would recommend it.  My wife the had the drunken cow and she really liked.  We got four pies cause we werent sure how filling they would be. One is good enough, but 1.5 is probably what you need to be good. two is probably too much.

the one at the district was the cravory, that was so good. one of their first locations was in Torrance, we used to go there when we lived in redondo. i think the chain no longer exists. similar to Pie not, you needed two pot pies to be satisfied cause one wasnt enough but two is too much and it was like $12 or something like that. i think most people thought it was kind of pricey for what you got.

the drunken cow has red wine & roasted garlic braised premium chunky beef & pearl onions in a shortcrust pastry shell w/ a puff pastry lid. my wife said it was really good.
