Kid's got a rash that won't go away...tried all sorts of creams/ointments, most just sting her skin and she gets pissed... Only thing that works somewhat is the EXPENSIVE Egyptian Magic Snake Oil Jar from Costco at around $40.  Thinking of taking her to see this doc..

Any feedback or other recs?

Thanks, she's the only pediatric derm that comes up in my insurance network.. online reviews seem solid, will try it out.  I would be pissed if she recommends Egyptian Magic!

Saw the derm, told us to stop using Egyptian Magic (too many ingredients?).  Prescribed some steroids for flare ups and to use CeraVe twice a day.. Use ALL free and clear as detergent, and Neutrogena Pure&Free as sunblock.

And rash is gone! Not sure if it's the derm's recs or from me adding a little hydrocortisone to the Egyptian Magic for three days prior to seeing the doc.  Who cares, eczema is gone for now.

It's the steroids. It works immediately by minimizing the body's immune response.
