Panda Mongolian BBQ (Orange)

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
There was one.

It supposedly is now going to be a famous Dave's  before it was an Opah and then it was Mongolian BBQ and before some other restaurant can't place it right now.

So either that's a horrible spot in spite of BJs being next door for all of them for small trendy places.

Yep. I went there once... once.

It wasn't good and I wasn't surprised they closed.

Hokkaido in Newport (basically Irvine south) has a Mongolian bar but it's also bleh.

The best one next to Lake Forest is sadly The Great Khan in the MV mall food court.

There's one in the Main Place food court as well, Great Khan or something like that, get depressed when I eat in that food court, plus the escalator is always broken and the elevator stinks.  And the food court is way in the back, not worth it to get to go and eat cold Mongolian BBQ when I get home.  I also don't like how they always add additional sauce once they dump your bowl onto the circle grill.  Makes me think the food is extra salty.

A good Mongolian BBQ would be fun to have.  I think a lot of ACYE ones went to the sushi route about 10 years ago.

BTW:  Most depressing local mall has to be Laguna Hills Mall.  Almost always empty and they even shut down the food court.  There are no restrooms in the mall itself so you have to go through Sears to find one.
