Painting exterior stucco

Anything different versus normal paint?  I hear you'll have to pressure wash first and use a heavy roller to make sure the paint gets into all the nooks and crannies. 

This for a small recessed ceiling area that doesn't get sun obviously.  Had some water damage, fixed the source but the stucco never dried back to its original color.  Probably paint the whole ceiling to match better?

When we redid our backyard, the landscapers used a spray gun for the stucco.  It's hard to get an exact match if you're getting a new mixture of paint.  I say do the whole thing for a better blend and rent a spray gun.  Less work and better results.  Don't forget mask and eye protection.

It's up to you if you wanted to use Behr's stucco paint or not, but for what it's worth - Home Depot does the most impeccable job of matching paint I'd ever seen.
