I've eaten at all 3 Opah locations in South OC, but rarely visit the Aliso Viejo location. Decided to go there tonight and try something different, did not disappoint. Thumbs up on the flat iron steak salad and pulled pork sandwich. Actually, it's 3 mini-pork burgers. ^_^ With a small bucket of sweet fries and some greens on the side.

I didn't care much for the feta cheese on the flat iron steak salad, other than that it was really good. Nice and crunchy greens with freshly fried thin onion rings on top and a spread of sliced beef. Excellent!

Only 2 Opah`s left in OC now.

The one in RSM has gone dark as of about Thanksgiving. It sits empty.

Its too bad. As far as I was concerned that Opah`s had the best Kitchen of the 3.

Go into that one in Aliso Viejo on a Thursday night after about 7:00 PM

That`s Cougar Night. Very dangerous if your under 35 and male.

Sweet thanks for the heads up, I'll see you there. Hot Cougars FTW!

I use to go there all the time. On Cougar nights, you will usually see one particular "breed" of cougar: Leisureworld Cougar.

That over 60 stuff is a little rough even on the Experienced Cougar Hunter.

Even a worse place to get attacked by the Cougar of Leisure World Species is the Kings in Laguna Hills. After they get a little "juiced" it can be dangerous around that place too.

Good time to hand out a business card of someone you really dislike. The Cougar hunter

must use all the tools at his disposal to avoid being taken alive.

If I do, it's only by choice. ;)

We've always enjoyed ourselves at Opah but were seriously bummed the last time when we found out the artichoke heart was no longer available. Bastards. The sugarcane tenderloin is still good for a starter though. Filet and ribs are usually pretty good as is the Mahi-Mahi (love the vanilla sauce). Souffl? is decent too.

The scenery definitely kicks in the later you're there and you're in for a real treat on Thursdays. It's not limited to Cougars either; there are some truly douchey fellas (Dingos) in there as well. Highroller, eh? It's AV, Stupid. Hit the bricks.

I hear ya AVRenter. If you're that high-roller, go to Laguna or some of the more ritzy locals. Also, I love seeing the Cougars on the prowl when I drive by around 9:00pm on a Thursday. hi-freakin-larious.

The food at Opah has always been consistent, but never blown me away. The prices are quite high and the food is fine. I've eaten there 3 times and never had something that made me feel like I needed to come back. If I'm going to spend $100 on dinner, I'd probably prefer a number of places before Opah.
