Oh, really? Shoot, my bad for the repeat post. The only thing is they don't give a clue which 5 CA locations have this. I would guess there is at least one nearby. Well, it will be nation-wide next year, according to the article.

I believe its the one on jamboree between macarthur and campus, the one at campus next to UCI, the one on PCH in newport, the one on lakeforest and i think the one in Tustin.

the taco bell on barranca between red hill and jamboree has it. they stop serving it at 11am.

i have not tried it, but it does look good. ive tried some of their other breakfast menu items before the waffle taco came out and they were ok. their cinnabon delights though (available all day) are like crack. their cookie sandwich is also very tasty
 
I would give it a 6, the waffle is kinda mushy and the eggs are probably from powdered source?  The sausage is tasty though... 

What's next.... Waffle steak... Waffle chicken taco...  I sense a trend...

Who wants to open WaffleLand with me?
 
I think ps9 mentioned before but a few of the Taco Bells in Irvine are test kitchens where they try out their new stuff. The one on Barranca across from the District is one (it's in the same center as Walmart).

I have yet to try the waflle burger at Iron Press or Bruxies, so not sure how a sausage waffle would taste (maybe like the old McD's pancake sandwiches).
 
Went to Taco Bell last week out of curiosity... the sausage waffle taco was pretty good... it did remind me of the McGriddle sandwiches that McDs used to have.

They also had two other waffle tacos, a berry one:

All the whip cream had melted by the time I got it home but it was good too.

And they also had a chicken one... but I didn't get it. The guy said it was a limited time thing so I don't know if they still have both of them.

I'll probably go back to try the chicken one... but I'm little chicken waffled out from Bruxie and Iron Press.

What's weird is I don't see any reference to the berry or chicken waffle taco online... maybe it's just a test thing again.
