It's the time of year again... who's going?

I think I have a link to free tickets... I'll post when I find it.

Time to check out the minivans again (I really wish Toyota would revamp the Sienna a little).

Might check it out, will Tesla be there?  I got a few burning questions for them....
Hee hee... ps9 will be here all night... and ask your waitress about the specials.

My eyes might be bad but it doesn't look like Tesla will be there:

I'll be there tonight (or will I?) and I'll verify.

I must be auto-showed out... spent less time there last night than the previous years.

No Tesla to be found. It was crowded considering we went there at almost 9pm.

I'm sad that Toyota isn't revamping the 2014 Sienna.

Went there last night from 6-10pm to avoid the crowd. Jeep gives away the coolest bags but to get it I must sign up and take a rough terrain obstacle course. I must say It was pretty impressive that Jeep could take that kind of abuse. Most high end cars I could not even touch and doors were locked. It was a great way to to car shopping without the hassle of salesmen.

Yeah... for some reason the X5 was locked. Maybe they saw me coming.

Infiniti changed their naming system again... went to Qnn and QXnn... so dumb. They had just built up their brands when they switched from names like Integra and Legend to G, FX, JX and QX and now they rebooted... bleh.

Also went yesterday afternoon--used my 2 for 1 coupon.

Likes:
+Corvette C7--love the new body style and improved interior design. I wish the floor model had the optional carbon roof I read about in the magazines.
+Audi SQ5--wow amazing sporty interior! Love that flat bottom steering wheel and white contrast stitching on the black leather seats.
+Toyota Corolla with Blue Crush color with optional wheels and sporty seats looked good
+Mercedes S550 interior is very luxurious. I could barely get past all the Persians blocking my way.

Dislikes:
-Audi RS7 had fake large dual oval tail pipes hiding ugly smaller quad pipes under the bumper. For $120K+ I would expect better integration.
-Cadillac ATS/CTS center stack has too much shiny plastic (liked the exterior design and has had excellent magazine reviews for performance)
-Lexus LS460L has a largish navigation screen but is brought down by poor resolution. If you're going to bother putting in a big screen in a luxury car, at least get something that looks sharp. People expect everything to look and respond like an iPdad these days--including me.
-Thumbs down to Porsche for not having any cars to sit in. At least the LA Auto show had several models to sit in. They think they are as exclusive as Ferarri or Bentley.

Porsche let you sit in every model. I thought the Cayenne was the best of the ones presented followed by the Carrera.

I was surprised that many models from other companies were locked. Reminds me of cheap stores that lock up $300 jackets, haha. Cayenne turbo S with a 160k MSRP was open so I'd think a $99k jag should be open.

Show was pretty small so a friend and I didnt stay too long.  I was shocked at people paying $5.25 for an ice cream cone though.

I was surprised with the leg room in the rear of the new accord.  Honda also had a beautiful lawn mower on display, haha. In one of their videos they had a cool looking contraption that helps ease quadriceps fatigue for employees who have to squat down frequently.

DuPont registry had some nice cars. 599 Ferraris are always nice to look at.

I liked the gt40 that was near the front. Cars roofline was at my waist.

I was pretty disappointed with the "modded" black nsx who slammed the car taking away its sport functionality.

435i looked pretty good. I will be pretty excited to see the M4 when it comes out.

Maybe bad luck for me. When I was there yesterday afternoon, all the Porsche models were inaccessible.

435i looks good but is more evolutionary rather than revolutionary. The rear end reminds me a of an Audi A5 which is a good thing. Not a fan of that permanent popup style nav screen.

Looking forward to 2014 Detroit Auto show and the introduction of next M3/M4.

I agree that color is not good. Luckily it is only for the concept vehicle. The color is called "Aurum Dust" -- aurum is latin for gold.

I know someone who got the E46 M3 in that color.  It definitely grew on me.

I prefer white for my daily drivers though.

White is classic.  I buy silver and grey now, just easier to keep clean, looks clean even with a layer of dust.  I love black...but only after fresh wash and wax.  Swirls and scratches are too easy to see on black.  Don't understand the appeal of green, I think it was a 80's fad.  Don't like red either...except on Ferraris, Ferrari red is f'ing beautiful, albeit a bit flashy.  But, if you're driving a F-car, subtlety isn't your thing.

There is just something classy yet sexy about a white car because you can see the lines of the car.  My E92 M3 was white and I would have bought an E46 that was white if I could have found one for a reasonable price.

Alpine white with fox red interior is popular for a reason.  Love that combo.  The M4 looks sweet.

White is probably the best, then grey.  Like what Martin said, it shows off the lines the best!

My E46 M was Alpine on Cinnamon, E92 White on Fox Red, GT3 White on Black.. Knew i should have bought a white LX...  :-\
