Because Oak Creek is gated i've only been inside once or twice, how new are the homes? And what kinds of amenities does the village offer? Is the village even worth looking at? Or should I be concentrating on Woodbury, Portola Springs and Quail Hill?

No... I AM PANDA.

hyen10 is more like SPAMDA. Although it's good there are new posters asking lots of questions... there has been a dropoff in IHB regulars and the ones that are left are reduced to i-slapping each other just to stay awake.

Well, if you like newbies here asking lots of questions, you might be in luck. Yesterday in my mailbox I received a very pretty glossy card from a local realtor (with a very handsome headshot I might add). To my shock the text of the card actually included a referral to Irvinehousingblog.com as a great resource to find information and discussion on everything Irvine. Imagine that, a realtor referring people to a 'bear blog'. I talked to a couple of neighbors, and they gave a description of this guy driving slowly past all the mailbox clusters:

 I never imagined when I [strike]made that[/strike] took that photo six months ago, that it would still be popping up randomly today.

Just follow one of the residents INTO the gate, or go on weekends for open house.

The homes in Oak Creek were built in late 1990s to early 2000's. The association has several small parks, swimming pools w/jacuzzi & BBQ, a club house, ball court, tennis court, etc. There's also 2 public access parks in the SE area of the community with ball courts/fields. The community has an elementary school inside, and a Gelsons shopping plaza at corner of Jeffery and Alton.

If you're serious about buying a home in Oak Creek, you can talk to IrvineRealtor on the forum here or check www.toddm.com for listings. If you're just Window Shopping, feel free to go check out the homes yourself.
