...I am helping a very good friend locate an Office to rent in Irvine...

I went to Craigslist and narrowed the search down to Irvine, then went through a few pages and e-mailed the ones that I thought might fit the Bill..

This was last week, guess how many replies I got after sending about 15-20 e-mails?

ONE!!

And to quote what they wrote "Call me if you have questions" That was it!! and by the way, did I call himher? Did I Bollocks!!

But now I get it, now I know how commercial rental Agents work...Put an Ad on CL with some nice Pictures, write some very good text along with the description, make it look and sound like someone would be really overwhelmed by the Glass Building when they come to do business with you, throw up a couple of Pics of a really nice Office with a great view and Teak Desk with a big comfy chair, oh yeah, and show a Pic of a big Fountain outside the Foyer... then when People e-mail you to say they're interested just completely f**kin' ignore them!!

I could do that!!!

Obviously!! they need to start throwing up more Office Buildings around here !!

My experience with commercial real estate brokers is very similar. What I realized is that all the brokers are looking for the really big deals.........they want to rent a million sq feet for 10 years........and get big commission. You have to wonder why they bother with the CL adds.

UK, I can help you with finding your friend space. Craigslist is not the best way to do it, begin with www.loopnet.com to get basic information (w/o subscribing). Commercial realtards are just as big idiots as residential realtards. haha
