new painting in house

i have 3-year-old girl living in the house. We are planning to have a contract to paint our house (inside only).
Someone told me it would hurt to the baby. is this true?

is there any good brand paint that not hurtful to the baby?

any idea? many thanks

The concern is mainly with the VOC (volatile organic compound), which can be toxic.  You can get Low to No VOC in most paint brands. 

I suggest that you open wide all the windows for at least a day before you let your girl in the room as the smell can be nauseating.

you should put one of these in your daughters room. we have one in the master since my wife has allergies and we have one in our daughters room. she hasnt shown any symptoms of allergies but breathing cleaner air is always good. as soon as i get home i just turn them on. it cycles the air 5 times in one hour.
