Our family home is just listed and it is in a nice area of Lake Forest. We have been in this house for the last 7 years and upgraded a lot of stuff(floor, bathroom, lighting, many more..) while we live here. The house is 1,954 Sq.Ft. with 5300 Sr.Ft lot size. La Madera Elementary, which is the best in Lake Forest is very close and in fact, all K to High schools are walking distance.

Here's the Redfin link for the listing:

Why do Lake Forest homes have so many vaulted ceilings?  They make me dizzy, especially when the angle is steep like this one.  I watch House Hunters and they always go "nice vaulted ceilings".  I'd much rather have flat ceilings regardless of the height.

Anyhow, good luck with your sale Jun.

I've always loved vaulted ceilings.. But when I lived in a home with one I didn't like how expensive / difficult it was to cool & heat the home.

You have seen too many post 2010 Irvine homes.

In a few years, people will be saying:

"Why is there this big cement strip from the garage to the street?"
"What is this other garage door for?"
"What is a yard?"
"Why do older homes have a living room, a family room and a dining room?"

Those ceilings look great, as does the house in general. Although I think it would get pretty hot in summer.

Houses not getting too hot is something that newer houses do significantly better than older ones.

I can think of a lot of words to describe those ceilings but "great" certainly isn't one of them.

I think symmetry in life and design is important and something just feels lopsided with asymmetrical vaulted ceilings.

Holy Crap I sound like a Feng Shui proponent.
