I'm a first time home buyer and my wife and I have started to look around for a new place. We both like the Cambridge homes in Columbus square. The price is in our range, but looking at current price history and market factors, I am skeptical about pulling the trigger. The price they list is pretty much a base price. Is it possible to negotiated with builders and have them throw up upgrades, or are they pretty much stuck on their prices? I will only consider buying if they do. I figure with currrent conditions, they will do anything to sell a place.

If you are planning to buy residence 6 then you are probably not going to catch any breaks.

Its layout is very good so a lot of people wait for them. I'm not too sure regarding the other units.

I was looking at Residence three. They still have some for sale where the move in date is in June. The only thing with those is that you can only pick what flooring you want. Everything else is already installed. I'm just worried that William Lyon will drop the prices more on later phases see how that is the current trend. I would like to at least secure some upgrades so kinda offset the drop. The lady at Mericourt told me that Lennar with buy the loan down for you just to get you into a place. I thought that was interesting.
