Anyone have a referral for someone who can help grill and clean at a kids birthday party?  I'm renting out my neighborhood park and will be providing the raw meat.  I just need maybe a husband / wife combo to help cook and clean during the event.  I'm thinking about asking my taco cart guy if he can just grill for me and not provide his taco cart.  Wondering if anyone has hired someone to do something similar.

You own a taco cart or is the code for food truck?

Sorry, I hired a taco cart for a previous event at the park.  The guy came with his wife who took care of preparing the plates and putting the meat in the taco while the husband did the grilling.

Oh - it's all good. Good luck with your search.  ;)

Not a bad idea, we had a similar event at a local park but I did all the grilling.  We kept it simple though:  just burgers and dogs.  It did take me away from my family though, but not that bad.  I assume you're grilling much more complicated stuff?  Lobster tail?  Tri-tip?  Bone Marrow?  How much would you pay for this type of service?  Probably 1.5 hours to prep/cook, another .5 hours to clean/break down.  So 2 hrs worth of work... $150???

Maybe ask the cooks at local restaurants?  The Habit, Mongolian BBQ?

Why a husband/wife combo?

You don't have any younger cousins/nephews/nieces that would be willing to do some grillin' for a few hours and some cash? Or a dad or dad-in-law? :)

Doesn't have to be a husband/wife combo.  I got the idea after seeing the setup from the taco cart guy I hired.  I like the idea of having someone grill the meat and someone else preparing the plates and also helping with cleaning afterwards.

I'm expecting about 100 people so it's going to be full time for a few hours.  Nothing complicated. Probably just some marinated chicken and some burgers.  I would say this would only amount to 30% of the food. The rest will be catered from a restaurant.
