Need some help...got screwed out of 2 weeks of unemployment benefits

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
So I started working as a consultant on Monday so I will not be unemployed any longer. However, I sent in my 1/31 & 2/7 week unemployment form a week and a half ago and only got a check for the 1/31 week ($450) and there was no form to file for the week of 2/14 & 2/21 with the check. I did get a letter that I have another phone interview scheduled for March 3rd the next day. So basically I got shorted out of 2 weeks ($900) of unemployment benefits. I've been trying to contact them via phone but it keeps telling me that too many people have called and hangs up on me and I've called on various days at various times. There is no e-mail to contact them and the only office seems to be located in Sac-town. How the hell do I get a hold of these damn state gov't workers about the money that I'm rightfully due???

Probably because they're on one of their mandatory furlough days..... and overwhelmed at the shear amount of claims coming in.

Take it up with them on the third. They should give you the check retroactively.

They should point out on their website the following message...."don't call us, we'll call you...even if you need to call us"

Its just taking a little bit of time. Give it a little bit.

You can't imagine the crap we've been going through. Red Cross has been a bunch of doucebags as well as refusing to pay. ON TOP OF all the crap the attorney general is putting them through.... they STILL refuse to believe they did anything wrong. Wow, just wow.

Anyways, it will happen, it just may take a little time.

Numerous articles have said that the phones are overloaded so they are forced to hang up. It's one of the state offices that is not on the furlough program. If you have a phone interview next week, what's the worry?
