Sorry, this is a repost but I really need advice on this.

Can anyone tell me how epoxy should feel when walking barefoot?    I just had epoxy done by Premier Garage and overall I am satisfied with their service and communication and the way the floor LOOKS.    But, I was walking around barefoot and I noticed lots of sharp protrusions in the epoxy.  (maybe a few every sq. foot).  It's not the chips that are sticking out, it's the clear coat on top that has fairly sharp points that are uncomfortable when walking.  Not enough to cause a cut but definitely will scratch your skin if you're not careful.    Is this normal or something that will smooth out over time?    Any help is appreciated!

We have the same problem and it hadn't gone away in 6 months.  The floor looks gorgeous though.  Just have walk with footwear.

Call and ask them if that is normal. Wear socks and move your feet over those pointy areas. If your socks are getting caught, have them come back out.

You can walk on ours with barefoot. My kids do all the time. It's definitely not smooth and when you walk on it, you can feel texture but not pointy or scratchy.  There are some "pointy" spots where the transitions are (seams, corners, etc) but the main part of the garage is definitely walkable.  Did you do it on new construction clean garage floor?

Yes, this was on a new garage floor.  Ok, that's good to know.  I'll give them a call.

My have little sharp protrusions too.  It feel more of pointed texture than a sharp spike.  Was able to walk on barefoot but definitely not comfortable.

It seems like its from the flakes that are not landed perfectly flat when they spread them and after apply the clear epoxy coat on top of it, the clear coat form this little pointy spot around the flake's edge.

WE had ours with Premier Garage..  I also noticed a few noticeably sharp edges and they came back few days after installing to clean those out.  They said it is normal depending on the type of "flakes" you chose.

Thank you all for the feedback.  I did call premier garage today and they are sending someone over next week to try and fix the problem.  I'm annoyed that it has to take another visit but their customer service has been great so far.
Will update after the fix.
