So I got this msg in my email today.

Looks like they are building more homes near the dump in Brea.  Grand Opening is this SAT. MAR 16.

Have a gander if you will.

It certainly strikes a chord when mentioned like this, doesn't it? Made me lol. It's short and to the point. They should put it on their marquee. Except it's kind of hard to put that on your marquee... "New homes at the dump in Brea. Coming Spring 2013!"

I wonder what the pricing on these homes will be.

I had a chance to visit these new homes at Blackstone this past weekend.

Montserrat starts out at $990,900 and goes up to $1,218,900 for the first release of 5 homes.

Coral Ridge ranges from $1,039,900 to $1,299,900 for the first release of homes.

The neighborhood of Blackstone is nicely done, the homes were generally OK but I personally didn't find anything compelling about them. Some of the view lots do have incredible views of most of OC.

Some of the homes only have a 2 car garage, so I found that kind of weird when you are buying such an expensive place.
Also, the dump doesn't smell, but you can see it.
