Came here a second time for dinner.  The share portion is $36 versus $25 for the lunch.  But they have the rice porridge at no additional charge, so more like a $9 difference.  Cheap Sapporo draft at $10 for a pitcher, I think they will bump this price soon.  Veggies are good quality.  The beef is not frozen as other shabu places, hard to count how many pieces you actually get since it gets clumpy.  Baskin Robbins next door makes a nice treat afterwards.

Came back again with family, the share choice beef is now $38.  They also have a prime cut of beef now, at $47 for the share.  We ended getting the Shabu Shabu Set Menu for $56 which comes with Prime beef ($49 for choice), two Soju Mojitos (not bad!), Bibimbob set, and Mochi ice cream fro dessert.  Still did the squid ink rice thing in the end... Pretty good service.. and most important of all the meat was crumble/melt in your mouth tender..  Good stuff..

What's with all the stuff in the pot?  Is this hot pot or shabu shabu ?  ;)

May have to try it, but there is a very fun place to eat Shabu in Mission Viejo that we typically go to.

Korean flavored shabu shabu... Didn't like it at first... But pretty good now.... Not a Chinese hot pot place (no satay which does a number on my tummy).

The chinese satay gets me too!  I thought it was only me this whole time.. wonder what's in it that causes the ache..

If you're hungry, open till midnight on thurs, frid, and saturdays.  Recently dined here again, the share meat is now $56 for choice and it comes with sake or two sapporo drafts and two ice cream macaroons for dessert.  Meat portion seems less than before.  Flavors are still good, veggie dish is put together well, service is usually decent.  Make sure you ask for the furikake with the squid ink porridge, that's a good combo.
