Looking at a potential move to Northwest OC - thoughts

Specifically the cities of Los Alamitos or Cypress. I will probably be renting at first, but may be in a position to buy soon as well.



Can anyone share some insight into these cities with regards to safety, entertainment, schools, etc?

You might look at Rossmoor, too. And if you are considering Cypress, you might add LaPalma, as well.



Cypress is a bit hit and miss. Haven't been there in a few years, but in some instances, there were some (old) neighborhoods with no sidewalks. Nearby, there would be very nice newer homes. If you don't mind wandering out from behind the Orange curtain, Cerritos has good schools and safety, and city codes that rival those of Irvine HOAs.
