Lehman Brothers Shuts Down Irvine-based BNC Mortgage LLC, Fires 1,200

<p>Since BNC is/was Irvine-based, I thought this deserved its own discussion. But my feelings won't be hurt if it is moved to the Headlines discussion.</p>

<p>Matthew Padilla of the OC Register is blogging/reporting that up to 40 percent of the jobs, or about 480 workers, are in Irvine.</p>

<p>This can't be good for the local economy.</p>
