It's quite possible. I did a Spokeo search under his wife's name because I knew it would be blocked under his own. It does show Vanessa has lived at a residence on Pinnacle St. If you have a subscription to the site, you can view the actual address info among other things. When you click on Court Records, it does show her relative as "Kobe" so it's the right person.

Looks like Redfin is missing the sale to Kobe, the property tax doesn't match 1.7M bumped out 16 years.  From what I remember he bought it from an agent friend..maybe a private sale? Still making mucho dinero on the sale if he gets asking price, just not as much.

The OCReg article in this morning's Sports page had a listing price that didn't match but the square footage and the "extra deep pool" did... so I just used Redfin parameters to narrow it down.

I was pretty sure it was the one... and SoCal's skillz confirmed it.
 
I thought Kobe owned about 20 houses in Newport.  One for him.  One for his wife.  One for his mistress.  One for the mother of his wife.  One for the mother of his mistress.  One for investment.  One for one kid.  One for another kid. One because he lost track of how many women he had to buy houses for.  At least that's what I believe I read on the TMZ comment pages.

Riff Raff News Flash - Mexican man from neighboring city Tustin Santa Ana shot dead in Quail Hill.  Deceased man was found with a baseball bat toothpick in his dickies....

Kobe Bryant was "doing" some volunteer charity work at a home in the Linden Tract of Quail Hill when he heard gun shots and quickly dialed 911 to alert the authorities.. ..
